Oh the
Fruitful minds of young Kindergarteners. The first time they have
approached a classroom, the first time they colored on something besides
their mom and dad's tax forms, the first time they ever read a book, it
all starts in these few months of Kindergarten.
I can remember these years well. We were all young like them once. Innocent, loving school, and just wanting to learn everything. Even though I am graduating this year, I look to these kids and say Good Luck! Enjoy these years because they will never come again. Have fun reading about Tomas the Tank Engine or The Care Bears. Enjoy that nap time because it doesn't happen in any other grade. Have fun drinking milk and taking breaks, then doing centers and story time on the floor in a circle. enjoy these for the rest of your life. You will never return to Kindergarten. Its that barrier that separates us all from our parents for the first time. so while your parents are at home crying because they miss having you around during the day (yes they do cry guys) remember that what you do now will guide you through the rest of your educational years all the way up to your Senior year as you walk down that isle for your diploma.
