About EF

EF Foundation of Foreign Study has been around for 27 years bringing high school exchange students to the US from nearly 40 countries.

Haviland has had over 60 exchange students from 18 different countries since 1997/98 school year.
Tracy Svoboda brought EF to Haviland and when she moved the following year Lori Wade became the local coordinator continuing to place EF students.

About Lori Wade

I have worked with EF for 10 year with 7 years being the RC or Regional Coordniator for the state of Kansas.
In 2004 Bonnie Ebert became the local coordinator for Haviland High School.
I am currently the RC of West Kansas and Northeast Colorado.
 This year there are 82 exchange students in my region.

Selina Ferrari - Germany

"My favorite sport is track&field.
My hobbies are sports, music and meeting friends.
My expectations for this year are having fun, getting awesome friends, be good in sports and learn a language an learn more about a new culture.
Since I'm here, I like the most the people and oreo blast."

Tina Emmersberger - Germany

"My favorite sport is soccer.
My favorite hobby is taking pictures.
My expectations for this year are having fun and finding friends.
I like the most that I made so many great experiences here. Everything is so different..."

 

Kevin Oswald - Germany

"My favorite sport is soccer. I like to play and watch soccer. But I also like to be part of our cross country team and participating in competitions.
My hobbies are playing soccer, hang out with friends or just watching movies.
My expectations for this year is to have a great year, lots of fun and a bunch of new experiences.
The things I like the most since I'm here are KFC (;-)) , our cross-country team and the friendliness of the people here in Kansas."

Fabian Zentner - Germany

My favorite sports mountain biking, ice hocking and right now, football.
My hobbies are meeting friends and playing computer games.
My expectations for this year are finding friends and having a great time.
I like the most that the people are more friendly than in Germany."

 

Ye-In Song - South Korea

"I don't like to play any kind of sport, but I like to watch it.
My hobbies are writing letters, watching movies and drawing clothes.
My expectations for this year is to improve my english and to get good grades.
I like the most that school ends early because in Korea school ends at 11 in the night."

 

 

In January there will be coming a new exchange student from Australia to Haviland!

In the same time, Fabian will leave Haviland to go back to Germany!
