Scholars Bowl

All Junior High students have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and quick thinking in an exciting, competitive setting. Team members practice regularly to sharpen their skills in a variety of subjects, including math, science, literature, history, fine arts, and current events. During competitions, students work together to answer challenging questions in a fast-paced, buzzer-style format against other schools. Being part of Scholars Bowl helps students build teamwork, confidence, and a love of learning—all while representing our school with pride.

Haviland Spelling Bee

Each year, our junior high students have the opportunity to participate in the annual Spelling Bee. This event encourages students to expand their vocabulary, strengthen their spelling skills, and build confidence while competing in front of their peers. Winners advance to the next level of competition, proudly representing our school in the County Spelling Bee that happens at the Ross Ellis Center in Haviland. The Spelling Bee highlights not only academic achievement but also perseverance and school spirit.
